The main difference between the simple border type and the advanced border type is that you can set the style, color, and thickness of the border independently for the top, left, bottom, and right sides. This allows you to create nicely formatted reports.

 note:Advanced border types let you set the style, color, and thickness for each face individually.

Setting advanced boundary properties

The Advanced Border property can only be set from the Object Inspector.

important:You cannot set advanced border properties from the toolbar.

To set advanced border properties from the Object Inspector, click the ellipsis button next to the Border property

A simple border dialog will appear. To access advanced border features, click the Advanced tab at the top to bring it to the front.

Select the settings you want to apply and click the OK button to close the dialog and update the border.
