Preceiver code created by Precy in the United Kingdom in March 1971 with official specifications. Presie bar codes have been widely used in libraries, supermarkets, production sites, etc. ADS also provided a variant of the barcode called Anker Code and a suitable scanner.

Pre-sie bar code encoding technology was used by MSE Data Corporation. The company used this technology to create MSI barcodes, sometimes referred to as "correction pressies."

This barcode is now obsolete and new scanners will not be able to read it.

Valid symbols:0123456789ABCDEF
length:variable
Check digit:No, one or two. Modulo-10 or Modulo-11 algorithm

Precy is a variable-length number-only symbol. You can output the number 0..9 and the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, but more often only the number is used. You can use the check digit calculated using the modulo-10 or modulo-11 algorithm. Each character in the barcode consists of four elements. The element consists of bars and spaces and has three module widths. If the element is binary 0, the barcode width is 1 module and the space is 2 modules. If the element is binary 1, the bar has 2 modules wide and the space has 1 module. Therefore, the length of each character is 12 modules. Therefore, the data density of this barcode is very low.

"Plessey" barcode. "1234567890" is a barcode-encoded numberis.
